Wah Fu Estate is a public housing estate on the south side of Hong Kong Island close to Aberdeen.
Wah Fu Estate was built between 1967 and 1978 as a new town and last renovated in 2003 and features some interesting buildings which are square giving rise to a canyon in the middle.
I took an afternoon to photograph this estate as you never know when little gems like this will be earmarked for demolition. I find it interesting to visit these older areas of Hong Kong as these are what tourist and many expats don’t see. They give Hong Kong its character and are a far cry from the modern buildings.
