Ghosts in Hong Kong

These Ghosts in Hong Kong are in Kwun Tong. Hong Kong is a a city of constant movement and these shots are to represent how people and cars can easily become ghosts and blend into the background.

Many days I have walked the streets of Hong Kong collecting images often just randomly seeing what i collect. On this day I had had a successful day with many keepers. I was finishing my walk with my friend Dan Marchant and too a shot of people on a crossing – unusually I immediately chimpped at the screen and saw i had accidentally blurred the image, grrr i thought as was about to walk on then i thought perhaps if I stay here and play with the exposure and try capture this small corner of Kowloon at is bustling anonymous self.

I wanted to capture the static of the building and the movement of the people of cars, and also the people waiting to cross the road seemingly the only break in their bustling commute.

Ghosts in Hong Kong is a very small mini project born on the spur the the moment and perhaps one will deserve to be revisited to make a larger more meaning full work of art but for now it just a small little amusement – hope you like it.
