Today saw Kowloon RFC overcome Societe Generale Valley 20 : 16 is a tight game at King Park. I enjoy sports photography; I think this comes from the fact that it was the grainy black and white images in the newspaper that inspired me to want to take up photography as a hobby in High School.

With this in mind, I’m starting a series of black & white sorts shorts, with the raw image from my Canon 5D Mark 3 processed with Silver FX to replicate push processed Ilford HP5.

In the blistering heat of Sunday I took a walk from Home in Hung Shing Yeh to Sok Kwu Wan for a Drone flight.

Happy Cake shop is located on Queens Road on Wan Chai; it is an old school Hong Kong style bakery selling pineapple buns and (great) chicken pies. I decided to do a little study on the shop a couple days ago.

I’m trying to use my drone a little more so last Sunday I took a trip to Whampoa Estate in Hung Hom. Whampoa has some interesting cross-shaped buildings which give rise to interesting shapes and patterns in the composition –  not to mention a random boat-shaped supermarket.

Last night I took a trip to Mong Kok, I think still my favourite area of Hong Kong, with its bustling crowds. It is an area that has everything from the glitzy shops of Nathan Road to the pure tat of Tung Choi Street “Ladies Market”.

Sundays is a particular joy as Sai Yung Choi Street fills with bands and crowds dancing, almost making the street and Imprompy nightclub bathed in the neon glow of the tradition shop signs.

Today was Drone flight over the busy Diamond Hill area of Hong Kong with the Nanling Gardens, I was a rather nerve flight as it was over the busy Choi Hung intersection, but it has produced some interesting images.
